The 9450 Remote Area Lighting System combines our tough 1510 Carry On Case with 16 x 1 watt Luxeon LEDs mounted in an aluminum heat sink. All items are stored inside the case and assemble in minutes. The aluminum pole extends to a height of 83" to provide 1280 lumens of light for any area. The rechargeable battery has 9 hours of life at maximum output tailing off to low light level at hour 17. The diffuser (included) can be mounted to change the beam from a focused spot to a diffused beam. 9450 Enhancements - Improvements have been made to the 9450 RALS Remote Area Lighting System to improve stability of extensions pole. The pole is now being threaded into the pivot bracket and additional screws have been added to the pivoting plate.

9450 B RALS

Last year Pelican introduced the 9450 remote area lighting system. It has been great for anybody who needs to get light in tough to reach places. Well now Pelican has gone to another generation with the new 9450 B RALS.

We have made a number of improvements to the 9450 B. One of the most important is we have reduced the weight by almost 10 pounds. At 46 pounds, it is ready to go.

This powerful light has unlimited applications, such as industrial field work, the film industry, and especially military applications such as checkpoints and temporary command posts.

The remote area lighting system, or RALS, has a unique head that houses 16 one Watt LED lamp modules and throws out over 1,200 lumens of clear, white Luxion light.

A diffuser spreads the light over a wide area for general lighting. When extreme reach is needed, the diffuser can be removed to become a search and rescue spotlight with a beam that can penetrate hundreds of yards of darkness. The extending cord allows the head to be pulled into confined spaces.

It runs on a field lead acid battery with a burn time of 17 hours and peak brightness lasting over nine hours. It reaches full charge in just four hours using a 120 Volt power source.

A metal plate has been installed to reinforce the lid area, which makes for solid secure mount for the light mast, and it is fast too.

The most important change to the system is the addition of this new power panel on the back. This allows the transformer to be plugged in even when the lid is closed.

The control panel features auxiliary and primary 12 Volt socket ports, as well as an array of red lights to indicate when you have got full charge, and there is a charge indicator that glows green to show you are in the proper charging mode.
