Pelican 8060 LED

In 2007, Pelican teamed up with the Los Angeles Police Department to develop the 7060 flashlight. The result was the first LED light bright enough for tactical use, but could also serve as a regular duty light.

The 7060 has been adopted by numerous police departments across the country. But other departments look to Pelican for a full sized duty light with a longer burn time.

Introducing the Pelican 8060 LED, the latest in our growing line of lights designed for the law enforcement professional. The 8060 offers many of the same features of the 7060 LED. For example, it has a neck switch for both under and overhand use.

We also carried over the serrated lens shroud that makes it easy to see if the light has been left on, even when standing lens down. And like the 7060, the 8060 has a grenade grip pattern that won't slip in your hands when wet.

The 8060 has a burn time of six hours, which when used intermittently , like in police work, is enough light for a full shift plus overtime. And with an in vehicle charger base, it is simple to top of the nickel metal hydride battery.

Here is another neat trick that only the 8060 can pull off. If the light loses power and you don't have time to recharge, you can substitute four alkaline C-cell batteries and keep right on going.

OK, OK. I know. You just want to know how bright it is, but try this. You can leave this light on for four hours and still be getting a blinding 190 lumens of light.

At just over 23 ounces, this is a lot of flashlight, and many officers used to handling a full sized flashlight will find the 8060 the right size for the job. Factor in the durability and the service life of the LED lamp module and the 8060 could be the last flashlight you will ever need.
