1730 Transport Case

Hi. You are probably familiar with Pelican’s medium and small size cases, great for protecting sensitive equipment. Well, Pelican continues to grow the line with bigger and bigger cases like the new 1730.

This new case is equipped with two latches at each end and four across the front. This case includes pick and pluck foam in the base, as well as convoluted foam in the lid, to keep your gear safe.

The standard foam set includes a one inch layer of foam on the bottom as well as three additional three inch layers above it.

Inside the case you will find a convenient form for ordering your own engraved nameplate. Just fill out the form and send it in.

Like every Pelican case, the 1730 comes with an automatic purge valve, or pressure equalization valve. It uses a Gortex membrane that allows air molecules to move freely in and out of the case during altitude changes, but it also prevents moisture from entering. The sides are automatic purge valve. A manual purge valve is also available as an option.

The manual purge valve is very popular to users in the military. Just press this black button to allow air to move freely into the case, preventing any vacuum lock.

This case also comes with a humidity indicator. If humidity inside the case exceeds 40% it is going to turn pink. At that time, put some Desiccant gel inside the case and dry it out.

This case also comes with extra wide heavy duty wheels. These wheels are rated to 160 pounds each, so you can move 320 pounds in the 1730 case, and the wheel wells are deep enough that small debris will fall right through and not jam the wheel.

These cleats on the bottom are extra deep to allow a forklift to lift the case. If you have got matching 1730 cases, recess slots in the lid allow the cleats to mate and lock together as a single load.
